Buildings Matter Too!
At Christ College, we believe that training gospel-hearted leaders requires more than just a syllabus – it requires a physical home for our community. This End of Financial Year, we invite you to partner with us by giving to the Building Fund.
Why the Building Fund matters
While scholarships get students in the door, the Building Fund ensures the door stays open and the lights stay on. As our Principal Ian Smith notes, “Christ College’s campus is a home where future leaders are shaped, not only in the classroom but in the shared spaces of life. Our vision of “Christ for all of life” is visible when students study, live, eat, and pray together.”
Lachlan’s journey to community
For students like Lachlan Armytage, who moved from Orange to study in person, on-campus housing made his journey possible. Lachlan shares, “The gospel is about people, and people need buildings to live in. Without that physical roof, my journey to ministry would have been significantly harder.”
Caleb and Josie’s home for ministry partnership
At Christ College, Caleb and Josie found a community that celebrated their wedding and a home in our college-owned units. Caleb reflects, “I struggle to imagine a world where, if we were paying two to three times the rent plus commuting, we’d both get to study. The reason we’re even able to study here is that someone built a building a decade ago.”
